Toyota Motor Corp. said Friday it will invest $461 million in its first U.S. plant to expand new technologies, improve production flexibility and reduce its carbon footprint. Toyota said 1,400 temporary jobs at its Kentucky plant would be converted to permanent positions in an effort to improve recruitment, retain top talent and provide a more inclusive work environment.
